Glaze

Glaze is a translucent coating that preserves the natural texture of wood, giving it the desired shade. It can be either water-based or solvent-based. Water-based glaze dries quickly, is safe for use indoors and is ideal for interior work. It penetrates the structure of the wood, protecting it from moisture and ultraviolet rays, while highlighting the natural texture of the wood. Solvent-based glaze, in turn, has greater resistance to external influences, creating a more durable protection for external surfaces such as facades and garden furniture. This type of coating also penetrates the wood, but has more saturated shades and is more durable, while requiring a longer drying time and the use of solvents to clean tools.
